About the author
My dear moms and dads,
My name is Kseniya. I am an event balloon decorator, but my most important role is being a mother to a little girl who recently chose my husband and I to be her parents.
Years ago, when I worked as a babysitter, most parenting advice I heard came directly from other mothers or from the few books available at the time. But when I became a mother myself, I was suddenly surrounded by an overwhelming flood of information — from the internet, endless books, articles and advice scattered everywhere. I wanted something clear, simple and trustworthy so I began gathering information from data-driven research, conversations with pediatricians, and advice from experienced parents. The result is a Mommy’s Guide - a month-by-month companion for your baby’s first year, explaining baby’s sleep, feeding, health, and development, all presented in a clear, easy-to-follow format.
But this guide isn’t just about the baby - it’s about you, too. The additional Parents section encourages mothers and fathers to not only care for the baby, but also take care of their physical and mental wellbeing - an important aspect often overlooked in other books. My hope is that it supports both mothers and fathers in caring for themselves as much as for their little one. To make life easier, I have included a calendar, resource pages, notes section, and developmental tracking cards — keeping all your essential tools in one place, so you can navigate your parenting journey with greater confidence and less stress.
Please remember, this guide is meant as a friendly resource, not a substitute for professional advice. Always trust your instincts, do your own research, and consult your baby’s pediatrician when making important decisions about your little one’s health.
